well linux based solutions are mostly free...
your mail server is linux or windows based?
well spam assassin is the solution available for both linux and windows but it is not free i think..you can try it out

The distinction between malicious hackers and spammers has become less obvious. Many spammers have incorporated malicious code that targets browser, HTML, and Javascript vulnerabilities.
